Each year we find ourselves saying, "It just doesn't feel like Christmas this year". With all the hustle that the approaching Christmas Season brings, it can be easy getting caught up in searching for that Christmas feeling. Rather than trying to find it, come experience it at Calvary this Advent. Below are some of the events we are having at Calvary to help get you "That Christmas Feeling".
Shannon Bell is School Counselor, currently working in Alexandria City Public Schools. Prior to beginning in Alexandria, she worked in Fairfax and Prince William Counties as a school counselor and youth counselor in a private agency. She graduated with her Bachelors in Arts: Psychology from West Virginia University and her Masters in Education: School Counseling from American Public University. She is currently working on my License Professional Counselor license in Virginia. Mrs. Bell has worked with students of many diverse backgrounds and enjoys helping them find their voice and advocating for what’s in their best interest. She has an extensive background in Positive Behavior Supports and Interventions, behavior management and mental health. She resides in Maryland with her family and enjoys the beach, kayaking and reading.

Every first Saturday of the month, the Calvary men put on a Pancake Breakfast. For the December Pancake Breakfast, we will have the one and only Santa HERE at Calvary. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children, and $4 for seniors. All proceeds benefit the preschool scholarship fund.
The Advent Season is also a season of thankfulness. Come join us for a time of fellowship and giving as we celebrate what God has blessed us with by giving back to those in need.
Come meet our new choir director, Jason, during our bi-annual Choir Sunday. Select pieces will be performed by all of our choirs including; Chancel Choir, children's choir, and bell choir.
There's no better way to spread Christmas cheer than singing loud for all to hear! Join us at the corner of 23rd and Fern at 5pm for the warming experience of singing carols for all to join. Booklets with the lyrics will be available!
