Classroom 1 Group

On Sunday, April 9 from 9:45-10:45am and most Sundays thereafter, this group will begin "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. A limited number of copies are available from the church office or they can be found on Amazon. Come join us - all are welcome!

On-Line Book Study

Monthly Service Project  at Central UMC

Everyone is invited to volunteer at Central United Methodist Church from 5:30-7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month helping to prepare the food that will be served to the homeless on Friday morning. Central UMC is Metro Accessible - just right across the street from the Ballston-MU Metro Stop on the Orange and Silver Lines. Or there is a parking lot for those who would like to drive.

Coffee with the Pastor

Pastor Matthew offers a "Coffee with the Pastor" gathering every other month for people considering membership at Calvary. During this time, he'll share the Calvary and UMC history and faith and answer any questions. Free child care is provided upon registration. To sign up please email the church office at  

United Methodism 101 On-Line Study

United Methodism 101 is offered on-line. Get to know The United Methodist Church through a six-week online course offered by United Methodist Communications. New and old members alike can dive into the church's history, structure, beliefs and more. This self-paced course includes access to a facilitator to answer questions and respond to your work. Church Prayer Team

Members of the church and others with a concern for the welfare of the church family and community are welcome to join the team. We know that prayer makes a difference. Prayer requests are honored from any source. The next meeting will be Saturday, October 1 at 10 a.m. (immediately following the Pancake Breakfast) in the Small Meeting Room.
